The Reading Room is located at 1211 East Main Street. We are just two blocks from the State Capitol in historic downtown Richmond and currently open to the public Monday through Friday, 11am-3pm.

This Reading Room is a quiet place for the public to read, do research and pray using Bible study aids and authorized literature on Christian Science. We have an archive of church publications dating to the founding of the first Christian Science magazines in the 1890’s, books marked for the study of the weekly Bible Lesson, and other materials helpful to an understanding of Christian teachings as interpreted by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. In these documented volumes, visitors will find thousands of testimonies of healing.

Our mission is to be a spiritual resource for our community, to help seekers find healing through spiritual means, and to share our love of the Bible and especially the teachings of Christ Jesus, the founder of Christianity. We sell the Bible, the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and other church publications, including the newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor.
